Shining Light Music ("we", "us", "our") provides this app to help venue managers monitor and control background music in their venues. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and how it is protected.
Who this app is for
This app is intended for use by venue managers and staff authorised by Shining Light Music or its venue partners. Accounts are created by an administrator; the app does not offer public sign-up.
Information we collect
Account information — When an administrator creates your login, we store your email address and an encrypted password, via our authentication provider, Supabase. We never store or have access to your plain-text password.
Venue and playback data — The app displays and lets you control music playback in venues you are authorised to access, including playlist names, schedule information, and currently playing track details, retrieved from our music platform provider, Soundtrack Your Brand. This data relates to venue operations, not to individual customers of the venue.
Activity data — To maintain accountability and provide venue owners with usage insight, we log actions taken in the app, for example restoring a schedule or blocking a track, along with the account that performed the action and the time it occurred.
Push notification data — If you enable notifications, we store a device token used to deliver alerts, for example if a venue's music system goes offline. This token is tied to your device, not to any personal identifying information beyond your account.
How we use this information
To provide and operate the app's core functionality. To restrict access so managers only see venues they are authorised for. To notify managers of issues requiring attention. To give venue owners visibility into how the app is used.
Who we share information with
We do not sell or rent your information. We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate the app: Supabase for authentication and database hosting, Soundtrack Your Brand for music playback and playlist data, and Apple for push notification delivery. These providers process data on our behalf and are not permitted to use it for their own purposes.
Data retention
Account and activity data is retained for as long as your account remains active, and for a reasonable period afterwards for record-keeping. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time by contacting us.
Your choices
You can request access to, correction of, or deletion of your account information at any time by contacting us. You can disable push notifications at any time in your device settings.
Children's privacy
This app is intended for business use by authorised adult staff and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect information from children.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be communicated to account holders directly.
